Our summer 2024 mission trip is not going to happen. But we still have ways for you to support the mission! Please join us for the Walking Taco fundraiser on March 17, the BBQ/Car Wash fundraiser in July and the Aug. 3-4 second collection.

What is Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos?

Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) is a charitable organization serving orphaned and abandoned children in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its mission is to provide shelter, food, clothing, healthcare and education in a Christian family environment based on unconditional acceptance and love, sharing, working and responsibility.

A worldwide community of donors, staff and volunteers enables NPH to help the children become caring and productive citizens in their countries.

Interested in serving NPH but can’t go on the trip? Here’s how you can help:

Pray for the Pequeños
Pray that the pequeños at all the NPH homes, that they will continue to receive the support they need.

Sponsor a Child
Child sponsorships and donations are always welcome. To learn more about NPH, you can contact HNOJ parishioner Karen Richelsen or visit the NPH website.

Participate In Fundraisers
We invite you to help HNOJ continue supporting this incredible charity by enjoying some food and fun this coming spring and summer. All proceeds from the following fundraisers will help provide necessities for the children at NPH homes. Your support is greatly appreciated! Muchas gracias for your generosity!

Walking Taco Sales
We will be having Walking Taco Dinner after the 5:30 p.m. Mass on March 17. Please join us for a meal and support the pequeños! There is a suggested $5 donation per walking taco.

Holiday Station BBQ and Car Wash

Special Collection at all weekend Masses
A second collection for NPH is scheduled for the weekend of Aug. 3-4, 2024.

Donate Large Suitcases in June

NPH Needs Large Suitcases

Each participant traveling to NPH brings a carry-on with their own clothes and two suitcases packed with donations and VBS supplies. The large suitcases are then left with the orphanage. Donations of large suitcases can be brought to Holy Name of Jesus anytime in June.

VBS Walking Taco and Pizza Lunches

Youth traveling to the Casa Santa Ana orphanage (a home in the Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos system of orphanages) will be serving up tacos four times in the coming months, and pizza once. Proceeds from the NPH fundraisers directly benefit the children of Casa Santa Ana. Mark your calendar and join us for one or all:

Donate Supplies before July 15

Other Donations Donations of items for the orphanage are also welcome. Here is a list of some requested items:

school supplies (pens, pencils, erasers, staplers, graph paper, folders, colored pencils)
art supplies (colored foam paper, construction paper, various kinds of tape, markers)
games/activities (playing cards, yard games, soccer/tennis/basket/volley/baseballs)
Croc-style sandals - sizes 4,5,6,7 (US)
boy/girl underwear; boxers for older boys
