Internationally known scripture scholar and speaker, Jeff Cavins, communicates his deep love for Jesus Christ with zeal, clarity and enthusiasm. He is returning to HNOJ for another Bible Study. Come hear Jeff Cavins, as he takes us on an 11 week pilgrimage through the Book of James. James was written to a growing Church in the first century and you'll walk away with some pearls of wisdom for living a life of Christian wholeness today.
We will learn lessons essential for living a Christian life like:
- handling trials and temptation;
- showing mercy;
- recognizing the relationship between faith and works;
- controlling one's tongue;
- exercising patience;
- and paramount, the power and effectiveness of prayer.
The Psalms are the School of Prayer. Come on this 11 week journey and discover the Biblical path to knowing God through prayer. This series will teach you to hear and understand the poetry of the Psalms and will open your eyes to see how Christ is hidden in the Psalms.
You choose how you want to learn! Choose between attending on Thursday mornings at HNOJ to see Jeff Cavins present the Bible Study live or attend our Thursday evening sessions, when the Bible Study is experienced via video. The different options and corresponding registration forms are below.
- Jeff Cavins LIVE Study of The Book of James and The Book of Psalms. The study begins on Thursday, September 11, 2008 and ends on Thursday, May 14, 2009. Meetings go from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. each Thursday. Cost of registration is $75. Registrations are due by September 2, 2008. Refunds of $65 only up until August 28, 2008.
