Confirmation Year II

The Second Year of Confirmation (typically completed in the tenth grade)

Prerequisites:

• Year I Confirmation (typically completed in the ninth grade)
• Membership in the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community
• Evidence of Christian Baptism

General Guidelines:

Summary of Key Components:

• Small groups meet two times at the home of the leader
• Small groups meet also at the Good Samaritan Center
• Four service experiences
• Parental involvement
• Sponsor support
• Initial interview with group leader
• Sessions are held during two time periods: Sundays from 3:45-5:15 p.m. or from 7-8:30 p.m.
• Liturgical rites of Welcome and Sending
• Sacrament of Reconciliation
• Retreat experience
• Final interview
• Prayer
