| Keep holy the Sabbath; this is a commandment handed down by God; adherence to rules requires a personal discipline that is important to our spiritual development - just as going to the gym builds our physical strength, regularly attending Mass builds our spirituality. |

| Mass is joy-filled. it is a celebration of all God has given us. We offer our thanks to God in prayer and song. We celebrate what Jesus did for us. How can we say "no" to God? |
"I attend Mass weekly with my family to receive the Eucharist, check in on myself, and to better my relationship with God. It is important for me to reflect on how I can live my life better for God." |
| Mass is not just for people who understand their faith perfectly and have no problems. We come to Mass as we are with our real needs, wants and hungers. Through the celebration of Eucharist, God soothes, treats and heals our wounds. |

| Being Catholic means more than believing in Christ. It involves a lifestyle of worship and discipline. Weekly Mass is one of the important things that sets us apart. The Mass, being the very core of Catholic liturgy, is the supreme expression of the Church's faith. |
"The Eucharist is God’s gift to everyone and reminds us that he was once human too and knows our suffering and brokenness. When we are feeling most alone, Mass reminds us that we are not. Mass brings people of faith together. We are able to bring ourselves in our brokenness before God. We listen to God’s word, we profess our faith, the meal is offered to us through the Eucharist, and then we all go our separate ways. It’s important what goes on during Mass, but what Mass really does for us is gives us encouragement and a certain drive so that when we exit the church week after week, we are ready to go share our faith with the rest of the world." |
| One cannot worship God in a vacuum. We need each other. At Mass we create a community of people who share the same faith and support each other in their worship. |
| You can reach across time and space to help those you care about. Perhaps a person close to you has died, lives in a different city or just isn't tuned in to the fact that you want to help. Distances and barriers like these disappear at Mass. Mass brings you into a world and life-wide web, linking everyone to Jesus. |
"Mass matters to our world because every time we celebrate Mass, we do so in communion with our brothers and sisters across the world, in a celebration of global solidarity." |
| The Mass is our opportunity to be born again in Christ, to renew our baptismal promises and remind ourselves of what we believe and what is really important. |
| It's hard to do difficult things by yourself. A group effort is always more powerful and effective. By gathering together at Mass, we get the help and support of others in our efforts to understand God and change our lives. |
"I love going to Mass for several reasons: coming together with a community of like believers strengthens and supports me and I know I am not alone in fighting for the glory of listening to the word of God and figuring out how I can apply it to my daily life; and being submersed in Jesus' mercy as his body, blood, soul and divinity enters into my heart during communion. Mass strengthens me to go out into the world with courage and a humble heart, trusting in God's mercy and plan for my service for him here on earth." |
| Just as showing up to every practice makes one a better athlete, attending and repeating the rituals of weekly Eucharist makes us better Catholics. Our devotion and discipline is also a powerful example to others. |
| Eucharist is a sacrament or outward sign that allows us to express our inward praise and worship of God. Through the rituals of the Mass, God speaks to us and transforms us. |
"When I go to Mass I can receive the grace I so need from Jesus in the Eucharist, and God reminds me again how much He loves us all. I am fortified!" |
| Heaven is not so much a destination or a place we go when we die. It is a state in which we are in perfect union with God. Mass gives us an opportunity to get closer to God and begin to experience the joy of His love. |
