Scripture of the Week:
Sunday, May 18, 2008 Most Holy Trinity

Exodus 34:4b-6, 8-9; 2 Corinthians 13:11-13; John 3:16-18

How do we explain the Trinity? God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit: three in one. Explaining it is one thing. Understanding it is another. We may never fully understand the Trinity, but we can believe in it. We can believe that God loved us so very much that he sent His son to live among us. Jesus showed us how to live as a child of God. God’s love continues for us today. He sends us the Holy Spirit to guide us, help us, comfort us, and lead us. The Trinity is an expression of God’s love for us, so that we may offer God’s love to others.

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.” (2 Corinthians 13:13)

How does love bring peace to the world? Can you think of someone you know who is a peacemaker?
