Life Teen Summer CORE Team Job Description

Title: Summer CORE Team Member

Length of Job: Approximately three months - from the beginning of June until mid-August to mid-September.

Description: A Summer CORE Team member is a volunteer working under the supervision of the Youth Ministry Staff for the purpose of assisting in the fulfillment of the Mission Statement.

Expectations:

• I will attend the appropriate training sessions to be a Summer CORE Team Member.
• I will participate in a background check and safe environment training. Click here to get information regarding VIRTUS, the Archdiocesan Safe Environment Training program. The next VIRTUS training scheduled at HNOJ takes place on Tuesday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m.
• I will attend Life Teen Mass and Life Night each Sunday or discuss with the Youth Minister when I am unable to be there. I will plan two to four Life Nights during the course of the summer.
• I will reach out to teens not involved in the program and welcome them to all Youth Ministry events.
• When leading discussion or giving a talk, I will be fully inline with Catholic teaching and the mission of Holy Name of Jesus youth ministry.
• If I am underage, I will not consume alcohol during my time as a Summer CORE Team member.
• I may not date or become romantically involved with any high school age teen (this includes recent graduates).
• I choose to lead an active Catholic Christian life.
