Marriage is a wonderful part of life that requires time and attention from both partners involved. Below are various opportunities offered at Holy Name of Jesus which allow married couples to refresh, renew and strengthen the sacred bond between them.
Taking Care of Your Marriage
An Evening of Marriage Enrichment
Come and join other couples for this evening of marriage enhancement. Enjoy prayer, a presentation, couples dialogue, social time and dessert. The evening is scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Emmaus A. This opportunity is presented by Bill Rose, Director of Marriage Ministries. Marriage Enrichment Series
All married couples are invited to participate in the upcoming six-week Marriage Enrichment Series which focuses on couples' communication. Receive affirmation and encouragement and work on conflict utilization as well as communication skills. Learn about ways to incorporate prayer and ritual into your marriage and find better ways to get the love you want out of your marriage. Sessions will be held on Monday evenings starting January 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Bill Rose, Director of Pastoral Care and Marital Therapist, will facilitate. Participation in this series costs $25 per couple. If there is a need, child care will be provided. Please contact the Parish Office at (763) 473-7901 by January 3, 2008 to reserve your spot.
Celebration of Marriage Evening
An evening of celebration for couples is scheduled around Valentine's day each year. In 2008, our Celebration of Marriage Evening takes place on Saturday, February 9, 2008. Evenings for Couples
Holy Name of Jesus provides several evenings for couples on a variety of topics. Focus is on enrichment and communication featuring local speakers, prayer and social time with other couples. These events take place quarterly and will be announced in the Bulletin, Newsletter and in the News and Events section of our home page.

Marriage Anniversary Recognition
Each year Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community recognizes couples who are celebrating their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary with a special Mass, renewal of vows and a reception for the couples. Mentor Couples for the Engaged
This is a marriage preparation ministry for those who are engaged. Mentor couples are trained in a process of giving feedback using a marriage inventory with engaged couples. Personal Marriage Enrichment
Many marriages arrive at an emontional plateau while partners get caught up in the responsibilities of raising a family, holding down a job and the hectic activities of suburban living. There is a process called Enrich which develops a marital inventory and communication excercises to help couples receive a refreshing perspective to revitalize their marriage. Marriage Enrichment Opportunities outside of Holy Name of Jesus
Marriage Encounter and Retrouvaille are local marriage ministries for couples interested in a retreat weekend followed by couple group meetings to enrich their marraiges. Contact information for both of these ministries are located below.
