Our Fourth Annual Holy Name of Jesus Saint MuseumAs God’s children, we are all like one big family. This family includes Christ’s followers here on earth, as well as those who have died. This is known as the communion of Saints. We pray for the communion of Saints every time we go to Mass. There are Saints who have been canonized by the Catholic Church, and we want to recognize them in our Saint Museum. Did you ever want to be a Saint for a day? Did you ever have dreams of your child being a Saint for a day? Who are the heroes of today? Certainly when I was growing up I learned about the Saints, who they were and how I could imitate them. Saints are recognized as official heroes among the people of God. The Eve of All Saints is on Halloween. We will prepare for All Saint’s Day on the weekend of October 27 and 28, 2007. It would be wonderful if we had enough Saints for all four weekend Masses. Parishioners tour the Saint Museum after the Masses. Each year appreciation of the efforts of our adults, children and youth who participate in this activity is expressed.
I will help you with information, costumes, signage, anything you need! Let’s give Halloween back its Christian meaning. Let’s show our parish we have not forgotten about the Saints. Let’s teach our children that the Saints are very important.
Anyone is invited to become a Saint for the day. This could be a great confirmation project, good on a college resume and good for the soul. Just give me a call at (763) 745-3483 or Click here to e-mail me or Click here to fill out an online form. |
