Art at Holy Name of Jesus SchoolThroughout the year students explore a variety of art concepts and skills. We have an emphasis on creating artwork based upon the elements and principles of design. Students produce work from drawings and paintings, to clay and three-dimensional sculptures. We participate in the Art Adventure program facilitated by the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Art Adventure is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer in the art room and discuss great artworks with your child’s class. Included in the curriculum is a spring Art Show where all students display their artwork. 
Laura SennottHi, my name is Laura Sennott. I have enjoyed teaching art at Holy Name since 1992. I studied at Gustavus, the Minneapolis College of Art & Design and have a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. I love the Holy Name community with the collaboration of teachers, staff and families that are dedicated and involved with the education of their children. |
