Singles Ministry

Our singles group meets regularly for food, conversation and fun. It’s a great place for those of you who may find yourself single and wondering where you belong to meet others who feel the same. You can share your stories or simply enjoy some social time together.

This is a group for all ages who, from any circumstance, find themselves single. Maybe you have lost your spouse through death and find the world looking very different. Or perhaps you have gone through a divorce and wonder how the church community will accept you. Perhaps you have chosen your vocation to live as a single person and can’t find a good space for yourself. Do any of these sentiments sound familiar?

 “Sundays are the longest days.”

“I feel branded by my divorce.”

“It is difficult to manage being a single parent and raise kids and find time for myself.”

“While I love my community, it seems most things are geared toward couples and families.”

“If I just had one thing planned for the weekend, it would feel more manageable.”

“I don’t want to just rely on my kids for all my activity.”

If any of this resonates with you, or if you just feel like this is something you want to check out, please contact Anne Marie Bartlett at abartlett@hnoj.org to learn about our next gathering. Then come and join us, and feel free to invite a friend or a neighbor.
