Saturday, June 14, 2008 ~ Closing Mass at 5:00 p.m. and picnic following

Vacation Bible School (VBS) takes place at HNOJ every June and consists of three fun-packed days of religious education followed by a closing Mass and Picnic for children going into Kindergarten (ages 5 and up) through Sixth Grade. 4-year-old children with siblings enrolled in VBS may also attend. Older youth and adult volunteers are an integral part of the experience.

VBS 2008 Mission:

To explore the lives of God's people in the Bible, both in the Old and New Testament. Children will learn a variety of ways to follow Jesus in daily life. They will hear stories of people who followed God in the Old Testament and learn the ways Jesus taught us to follow God in the New Testament.

VBS 2008 Registration Information:

Please register by May 19, 2008. Click here to download a copy of our VBS flyer. The participant registration information is located on the bottom of page two of this document. The cost is $25 per child for parishioners or $30 per child for non-parishioners. Scholarships are available. Please indicate scholarship needs on your registration form.

General VBS Information:

Children need to bring a peanut-free* bag lunch with them on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Water is provided.

* We pride ourselves on being a peanut-free VBS.

On Saturday evening, we will celebrate Eucharist together at the 5:00 p.m. Mass (the perfect way to follow Jesus). All VBS families are invited to attend a picnic following the Mass. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus who follow Jesus by cooking and serving at the picnic.
