Overview
At Holy Name of Jesus Parish (HNOJ), our ministries for seniors provide opportunities for adults 55 and older to stay connected, grow in faith, and share in community life. From Bible studies and monthly social gatherings to educational programs and seasonal events, these ministries are designed to support the spiritual, social, and emotional well-being of our senior parishioners. Whether you’re looking for fellowship, faith formation, or simply a chance to stay active and involved, HNOJ offers a variety of ways for seniors to participate and belong.

Senior Bible Study
“Ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ.” – St. Jerome
As Catholics, we encounter a great deal of scripture. Each Sunday, four pieces of Scripture are proclaimed (including the Responsorial Psalm) and the Eucharistic prayer is chock full of Scripture as well. Sometimes these words wash over us, and it is easy to take the stories, messages, and insights for granted. At the Seniors Bible Study, HNOJers 55+ years old gather to talk about the upcoming Scripture and to reflect on what it means for our daily faith lives.
All seniors are welcome, and no registration is necessary. Just check the schedule below, and attend when you can.
Basic Information:
- When: Mondays from 10-11:30 am
- Where: Holy Name of Jesus
- Who: Any and all seniors 55 years old and older
- Preparation: No prep work needed for this Bible Study
- Cost: Free!
- Registration: None needed

Soul Sisters: Widows Walking Together
We, the Holy Name of Jesus “Soul Sisters – Widows Walking Together,” are a community of women who have experienced the unexpected trials of widowhood. United in the love of Jesus, we come together in friendship and mutual support as we navigate this new chapter of life.
HNOJ is excited to announce that this new ministry will begin in September! Save the date for our first meeting on Thursday, Sept. 8, 10-11:30 am, at HNOJ. Whether you’re looking for companionship, encouragement, or simply a place where you belong, we’d love to welcome you.
