Welcome
a message from our Pastor
Dear Friend in Christ,
Welcome to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Parish. Whether you are new to the area, returning to the Church, or seeking a spiritual home, I’m grateful that you’re here and hope you feel truly welcome.
Worship at
Holy Name of Jesus
The Eucharist is at the center of everything we do as a parish. We gather to celebrate the Mass, offering worship and praise in thanksgiving for all that God has revealed to us. Rooted in the rich traditions of the Catholic Church, our liturgy invites prayerful participation through Scripture, reverence, and sacred music – from traditional organ to choir to praise and worship. Whether you are visiting for the first time, returning to the Church, or seeking a parish to call home, you are welcome here.
Growing in Faith Together
Faith formation at HNOJ is a lifelong journey of growing in relationship with Christ and within the Catholic Church. Our faith formation ministries serve all ages and stages of life, including sacramental preparation, youth ministry, small groups, and adult faith formation with speaker events. Whether you are beginning your faith journey, deepening an established one, or seeking community and conversation, there is a place for you to learn, grow, and be supported in faith.
Our School
Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School offers a faith-centered education for preschool through 6th grade, combining a rigorous academic curriculum with Catholic values. With small class sizes, caring teachers, and a welcoming environment, HNOJ School is a place where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to thrive. We invite you and your family to discover more and see what makes our school feel like home.
Connecting as a
New Parishioner
Becoming part of HNOJ begins with simple, meaningful connections within our Catholic parish community. New parishioners are invited to our biannual Big Small Dinners, a welcoming evening to share a meal, meet fellow parishioners, and spend time with our priests. Childcare is provided for young children.
There are many ways to become involved, serve others, and grow in faith, including:
- Parish Ministries: With more than 80 active ministries, HNOJ offers many opportunities to share your gifts and build meaningful connections.
- Adoration: All are welcome to spend quiet time with the Lord in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, finding peace, renewal, and a deeper relationship with Christ.
- Outreach and Service: Living out our faith through service to others, including long-term partnerships with Interfaith Outreach (IOCP) and Ascension Parish and School in North Minneapolis.
