Overview
The Men’s Ministry at Holy Name of Jesus Parish (HNOJ) is dedicated to helping men grow as active disciples of Jesus Christ through community, prayer, and service. Our ministries provide a variety of opportunities for men to connect and strengthen their faith — from the GRIP Podcast and Men’s Nights to our annual Men’s Retreat and service through the Knights of Columbus. Whether you’re joining a Bible study, attending a retreat, or sharing a meal with fellow men of faith, HNOJ Men’s Ministry invites you to build lasting friendships and deepen your relationship with God alongside others committed to living out their Catholic faith.

Men’s Night at HNOJ
This isn’t complicated.
Get the guys together, have beverages and food, hear a message of immense value, have a chat, and head out.
- 6-6:30 pm Rosary in the Main Church by the Mary statue. (optional)
- 6:30-7 pm Dinner (Emmaus ABCD)
- 7-7:30 pm Talk
- 7:30-8 pm Discussion
All guys 21+ are welcome and these nights will be the kind of event you can invite any guy you know to join.

Men's Community Bible Study
“Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of God”
St. Jerome got it right when he asked: How can you know God if you don’t know his story? Here’s an opportunity for men to delve into the word of God with others in our community. All denominations are welcome.
Monday nights at 7 pm in the music room (the old church) at HNOJ.
There are over 100 men growing in Christ and engaging as a group and in small study groups learning and sharing their insights and questions while becoming the disciple of Christ in your life.
Join us this year as we engage in the Gospel of Matthew, enjoy fellowship and make great friends on Monday evenings with the Men’s Community Bible Study.

Men's Summer Bonfires
Men of HNOJ – After a long, cold, winter many of us are looking for some time around a good summer bonfire. Join other men of HNOJ at our Men’s Summer Bonfire Series.
Each bonfire will be hosted at a different home. Those who register will be contacted with the address of the host site. Men will register for each date; you may attend one or all of the bonfires. Feel free to bring a friend. If the day of you want to attend or you want to invite a buddy who didn’t register, just show up. All is well.
Food and beverage will be “bring your own” style. Fire and good conversation will be provided. This will be a great opportunity to meet other guys in the parish and get together with old friends too.

GRIP Podcast
Over the past few years, HNOJ has had LIVE recordings of the GRIP podcast. This is a podcast hosted by Jeff Peterson and features parishioner Todd Johnson and Chris Kostelc. Each recording of this five-part series features a letter of the word GRIP (with an introduction) and a special guest.
GRIP – is a acronym for Grouping, Reading Scripture, Invest in faith and Pray daily. Todd Johnson developed this four piece strategy for men to grow in our faith. If we do these 4 things we will stay in God’s GRIP and not the world’s grip.
