As children grow, they come to know God in new and exciting ways.
Faith Formation programs at Holy Name of Jesus encourage,
instruct, and engage children in the learning process.

This formation process continues throughout adulthood. Our spiritual journey is meant to be lifelong, and we encourage this at HNOJ through our small group studies and lecture series.

Faith Formation Registration

Registration for the 2020-2021 program year is underway!

Faith Formation: At a Glance

Holy Name of Jesus offers Faith Formation classes for all age groups.  Learn more about each of the opportunities available using the menu at the left.

• Sunday School (age 3 through kindergarten): At the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Mass times < OR > At-Home/Online Option
• Faith Formation in a Specially Designed Classroom for Special Needs:  TBD
• Children's Faith Formation Wednesday Evenings (grades 1-5): 4:45-6 p.m. < OR > At-Home/Online Option
• Middle School CREW Wednesday Evenings (grades 6-8): 6:30-7:30 p.m. < OR > At-Home/Online Option
• Confirmation Year 1 (typically 9th grade) - variable options see form
• Confirmation Year 2 (typically 10th grade) - variable options see form
• Senior High CREW (grades 11-12 and 9-10 graders already Confirmed): variable options see form

HNOJ Bus Stop: If your child will be dropped off here at HNOJ on Wednesday evenings prior to our 4:45-6 p.m. Faith Formation Class, please contact Theresa Reichert at 763-745-3483.

    • Early Bird Discount - $75 per student
    • Registration Fee after 9/1/20 - $100 per student
  • At-Home/Online Option > $75 per student
• Faith Formation Grades 1-5
  • In-Class Registration:
    • Early Bird Discount - $90 per student
    • Registration Fee after 9/1/20 - $115 per student
  • At-Home/Online Option > $90 per student
• Faith Formation in a Specially Designed Classroom > $85 per student
• Middle School CREW
  • In-Person Registration:
    • Early Bird Discount- $100 per student

No child is denied an opportunity to learn about the Catholic faith.  Additionally, we understand how difficult registration fees get the larger a family becomes.  If you are interested in a full or partial scholarship, please click here to download a Scholarship Request Form.  Please fill out this form and turn it in to the Parish Office before registration.  You will be contacted by the staff member in charge of the programs you are requesting scholarships for.

• Children's Faith Formation Wednesday Evenings (grades 1-5): 4:45-6 p.m. or 6:15-7:30 p.m.
• Middle School CREW Wednesday Evenings (grades 6-8): 5:45-7:30 p.m.
• Confirmation Year 1 (typically 9th grade) - variable options see form

On Wednesday evenings, join us for a hot meal for a free will offering with Wednesday Fine Dining, from 5:15-6:45 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Center. Open Gym is also available before the elementary classes from 4:15-4:45 p.m. so that students can work off some energy before heading to class.

Parish Children's Choir - second through sixth grade

Second through sixth grade students are invited to be involved in our Parish Children's Choir. Choir practice takes place on Wednesdays from 5:45 p.m. to 6:25 p.m. when faith formation classes are in session. Those who attend the 4:45 p.m. Elementary Faith Formation class will be dismissed from class early to attend choir practice. Those who attend the 6:15 p.m. class session will be allowed to come to class late. Parish children attending the Sunday 9 a.m. classes may also take part in Parish Children's Choir. There is no additional fee. Children who enjoy expressing themselves through music will benefit greatly from learning the value of sung prayer in our liturgies and the importance of leading music for our congregation. This choir will sing at a Sunday liturgy about once a month during the school year and at the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass. Register your child for Parish Children's Choir on your registration form.
