Holy Name of Jesus is now hiring for:
• Part-Time Position: 16 hours/week, Saturdays and Sundays, 2 pm - close
• Pay range: $20–$22 per hour, commensurate with experience
This position offers a variety of responsibilities, including regular cleaning, routine maintenance tasks, and assisting with event set up and take down as needed for various parish activities.

Bookkeeping/HR Support Specialist

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Parish in Wayzata is seeking an effective Bookkeeper (32-40 hours/week, in-office position with full benefits) to manage the day-to-day financial operations. You will handle accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations, while also providing limited HR and administrative support. This role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with parish policies, and helps support the smooth operation of our vibrant parish community.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process payroll and employee expense reimbursements
- Record and maintain financial transactions (accounts payable/receivable, invoices, deposits, payroll, etc.)
- Reconcile credit card accounts monthly
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports as needed
- Support preparation for annual audits and tax filings as needed
- Assist with budgeting and financial reporting as needed
- Occasionally prepare and issue invoices; follow up on outstanding payments
- Support onboarding of new employees
- Assist with management of employee contracts, incident reports, and pre-employment physicals (as assigned)
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation
- Other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting/bookkeeping/finance or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to pass a background check and complete required training

Staff Choral Singers
DESCRIPTION
The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community (HNOJ) invites applications for two staff singer positions in all voice parts (SATB). The singers will serve as section leaders for the HNOJ Choir most Sundays. Opportunities to sing together as an 8-voice schola for Masses are also scheduled throughout the year as well as cantor/solo opportunities. The full 2023-2024 choral season runs from the second Sunday in September through the first weekend in June. We are currently seeking one soprano, two tenors and two bass/baritones. Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community in the Wayzata/Plymouth area.
SPECIFICS
Scheduling is usually a two-hour call on Sunday mornings. There is a rehearsal at 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and then the choir sings at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Scheduling is meant to be flexible, but successful applicants will be asked to make a prioritized commitment to HNOJ liturgies during the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the Easter/Triduum holidays. Singers can expect between 50 and 60 calls during the full choir season and are paid $80 per two-hour call. The Wednesday night one- and one-half hour rehearsal is optional at the pay of $75 per Wednesday call. Wedding and funeral opportunities are available and are paid on a different call/fee schedule.
Qualifications: Strong vocal performance, sight-reading and social skills are required.
