Maintenance and Custodial Worker
Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community in Wayzata is seeking a Maintenance and Custodial Worker assistant to be responsible for the maintenance and custodial needs of the parish and school facilities. This full time (40 hours/week) includes regular cleaning, routine maintenance, grounds maintenance and set up and take down at parish and school facilities.
Qualifications: Experience in working in a similar environment with maintenance or custodial duties. Building trade background helpful (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.). Must have a Special Boiler License or Class C Boiler License or obtained a license within the first six months of employment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Understanding and acceptance of Catholic doctrine. Able to pass required background check and complete required initial training.

Facilities and Maintenance Manager
Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community in Wayzata is seeking a full-time Facilities and Maintenance Manager. As the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and efficient operation of our church facilities. You will oversee a team of maintenance professionals and contractors, manage budgets and implement sustainable practices to support our mission of providing a nurturing environment for worship and education.
Full-time, 40 hours per week, benefits eligible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of all parish and school facilities, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofs, etc.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a team of maintenance technicians and custodial staff. Foster a collaborative and dedicated work environment.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities and maintenance budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective solutions.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all facilities are compliant with safety regulations, codes and diocesan guidelines. Implement and maintain emergency response plans.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services. Monitor contractor performance and compliance.
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of parish assets, equipment and maintenance activities. Plan for asset replacement and optimization.
- Sustainability: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability practices within our facilities, aligning with the principles of our faith.

Handbell Choir Director
DESCRIPTION
The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community (HNOJ) invites applications for the Director of Handbells. Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community in the Wayzata/Plymouth area.
SPECIFICS
HNOJ has a joyful history of using handbells in liturgy. The founding director of this long-established ministry has just retired.
Currently, we have two choirs: 1) Adult group that has been ringing together for 15+ years and 2) a Youth bell choir of 6th grade through high school.
The current schedule has each group rehearsing once weekly and playing one weekend Mass each month. Christmas Eve and Easter Triduum are also part of the usual schedule.
Equipment: 5 octaves of Malmark Handbells and Handchimes, mallets, percussion, etc.
A strong commitment to handbells as a ministry and a tool to lead musical prayer as well as good social skills are required.

Staff Choral Singers
DESCRIPTION
The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community (HNOJ) invites applications for two staff singer positions in all voice parts (SATB). The singers will serve as section leaders for the HNOJ Choir most Sundays. Opportunities to sing together as an 8-voice schola for Masses are also scheduled throughout the year as well as cantor/solo opportunities. The full 2023-2024 choral season runs from the second Sunday in September through the first weekend in June. We are currently seeking one soprano, two tenors and two bass/baritones. SPECIFICS
Scheduling is usually a two-hour call on Sunday mornings. There is a rehearsal at 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and then the choir sings at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Scheduling is meant to be flexible, but successful applicants will be asked to make a prioritized commitment to HNOJ liturgies during the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the Easter/Triduum holidays. Singers can expect between 50 and 60 calls during the full choir season and are paid $80 per two-hour call. The Wednesday night one- and one-half hour rehearsal is optional at the pay of $75 per Wednesday call. Wedding and funeral opportunities are available and are paid on a different call/fee schedule.
Qualifications: Strong vocal performance, sight-reading and social skills are required.
