What is a small group?
A Small Group “… fosters personal relationships, builds community and provides formation to help parishioners grow as joyful missionary disciples of Christ.” - Archbishop Hebda (Pastoral Letter, You will be my Witnesses (2022).
Why join a small group?
Jesus started his universal church in a small group, so we are adopting the same strategy at HNOJ.
While we are blessed with a very large, dynamic parish, it can be overwhelming to find close connections and friendships and to think “I’m just another number.”

Everyone who participated in a small group in the fall of 2024, we would love to see you at a fun social at HNOJ on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 6-7:30 p.m.! We’ll provide food and drinks and give a sneak peek of what’s coming for Lenten Small Groups. Anyone interested in joining the Lenten small groups is also invited to the social!Small Group Leader Formation, Nov. 8
Members of Holy Name of Jesus, St. John the Baptist, Our Lady of Grace, and St. Huberts are invited to join a morning of Small Group Formation on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, at Our Lady of Grace in Edina.
This event includes Mass with Bishop Izen, formation talks by speaker Ryan O’Hara, discussion, brunch, prayer, and fellowship with other small group leaders.
All small group leaders are invited and encouraged to attend.
