What is a small group?
A Small Group “… fosters personal relationships, builds community and provides formation to help parishioners grow as joyful missionary disciples of Christ.” - Archbishop Hebda (Pastoral Letter, You will be my Witnesses (2022).
Why join a small group?
Jesus started his universal church in a small group, so we are adopting the same strategy at HNOJ.
While we are blessed with a very large, dynamic parish, it can be overwhelming to find close connections and friendships and to think “I’m just another number.”
You’re NOT just another number.
Whether you are new to the parish or not, we can help you get started.
- Meet people with similar interests at HNOJ
- Develop authentic friendships and a support group
- Deepen your personal relationship with Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
New and don't know where to start? Enter your information in our small group survey (to the left of this text box) or email Tim and he'll help you find a group that fits best for you!
Small Group Leader Training, September 2024
We are looking for people to lead small groups this fall. Don’t worry, we have training!
Please join us for one of our small group leader trainings (Chipotle meal provided too):
Monday, Sept. 16, from 6-9 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 29, from 12-3 p,m.
Attend one of these sessions to prepare you to lead your very own small group. You will become versed in the seven-step method, learn how to manage a group through the different challenges that arise and ultimately lead with grace and joy in what Archbishop Hebda has called the “key to growth” in the local Catholic Church.
Please contact Tim Lyngdal with any questions.
