Fall 2025 Small Groups

This Fall, our small groups will gather once again with the shared goal of following Jesus more closely. Each group will look a little different — different content, ages, and backgrounds — but they will be united in their purpose: to be formed in Christ. This season’s content options all focus on the primacy of Sunday as God’s “day of delight”:

  • Fr. Mike Schmitz’s homily series (Video or Podcast)
  • Bishop Barron’s “What Christian’s Believe” (Book)
  • John Mark Comer's "Practicing the Way" (Video and/or Book)

Each of these will spark rich discussion within your group and personal reflection with God, helping you answer the question: “What does life in Christ look like for me?”

Option A: Fr. Mike Schmitz Homily Series

Made for Worship is a six-week small group journey that walks through Fr. Mike Schmitz’s 2024 homily series on the Mass and the Christian life. Each session includes a link to the homily, extended discussion questions, practical takeaways, and accountability steps to help you live Sunday more fully during the week. Whether you are new to small groups or a long-time parishioner, this series is designed to deepen your appreciation of the Lord’s Day and equip you to offer your daily work and relationships as worship.

Option B: Bishop Barron’s “What Christians Believe” Book

At the heart of our faith is the Nicene Creed — a bold proclamation that has united believers for over 1,600 years. In What Christians Believe, Bishop Robert Barron unpacks each line of the Creed, showing how its timeless truths speak powerfully into our lives today.

Join us for an eight-week small group journey into the heart of the Creed. Through Scripture, discussion, and prayer, you will deepen your understanding of the faith, grow closer to Christ, and learn to share what you believe with confidence.

Come ready to move beyond reciting the Creed — and start living it.

Option C: John Mark Comer’s “Practicing the Way” Video Series and/or book

What does it really mean to follow Jesus - not just in belief, but in the rhythms and habits of daily life? Practicing the Way, created by pastor and author John Mark Comer, is a simple yet profound invitation to learn the way of Jesus together in community. Rooted in Scripture, shaped by the wisdom of the historic Church, and designed for our busy, modern world, this series guides small groups step-by-step into the practices that form us into Christlikeness - prayer, Sabbath, simplicity, hospitality, and more.

Whether you’re new to the faith or have walked with Christ for years, Practicing the Way offers practical tools, rich teaching, and meaningful conversation to help you live your faith with greater intention. In our parish small groups, we’ll walk through these practices together - encouraging one another, sharing what we’re learning, and helping each other keep Jesus at the center of our lives.

The series is designed for nine weeks of small group gatherings, with each session including video teaching, group discussion, and a simple weekly practice.

Join us as we slow down, create space for God, and rediscover the joy of walking in His way - together.
