Awaken - Women's Spring Retreat 2024

For WebpageAttention women of HNOJ: please save the date for our Awaken Retreat that will be held on Saturday, April 13, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus.

The day retreat will include talks to awaken women of all ages and life stages to the goodness of God and His plan for us - with time for discussion, prayer and individual discernment. We will begin the day with 8 a.m. Mass and there will be time for Adoration and Confession. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Speakers and Musician for April 13

AnniegrandellAnnie Grandell, YDisciple Director at NET Ministries, has over two decades of experience working with youth. She started as a NET Missionary herself in 2001, then served as a Youth Minister for nearly 12 years after earning a degree in Catholic Studies from the University of St. Thomas. She is now creating programs, strategies and content for youth ministry leaders through YDisciple. She has a heart for reaching souls with the Gospel and teaching the truth of the Catholic faith.  Annie lives in Eagan with her husband and four children and survives on grace and a lot of coffee.

 

Sr AmeliaSr. Amelia, O.P., is a member of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia (Nashville, TN), originally from Stillwater, MN, and entered the Catholic Church in 2005 at the Cathedral of St. Paul. Sister has taught grades 6-12 Religion, Spanish and History. She loves helping students grapple intelligently with the questions of our day through the use of Moral Theology and Catholic Social Teaching. Sister Amelia holds a BA in International Affairs and Global Health from The George Washington University in DC; an MA in Thomistic Studies from the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in DC; and teaching credentials from Aquinas College in Nashville. Sister currently serves at Providence Academy in Plymouth, MN on the school's Spiritual Formation Team.

Addy Diaz CircleAddy Diaz grew up playing music and has been grateful for the ways it has brought herself and others closer to Jesus. Addy is currently finishing up her graduate studies at the University of Mary to become a mental health therapist and will graduate in April. Outside of music and school, Addy enjoys gardening, spending time with friends, and being arguably too competitive for her own good.
