Has your kid ever had a question about the Catholic faith you couldn’t answer? Do you wonder how to further inspire your kids to grow in their faith? What if there was a convenient way to deepen your own faith?
Catholic Essentials for Parents, an initiative for middle school parents that will help you address these three questions, is back for year two!
Overview: This year, the HNOJ Faith Formation staff has chosen two books related to the themes covered at MS Crew. By signing up for this initiative, parents will be invited to read these books on their own time and have the option to attend a total of five sessions of Q/A and parent discussion about the content of each book.
Here are the specifics:
What: Receive personal copies of 2 books coupled with 5 optional seminars:
- Made for More by Curtis Martin
- Who Am I to Judge? by Edward Sri
Who: Parents of all middle schoolers (even if your middle schooler doesn’t attend MS Crew!)
When: Read on your own and, if you so desire, attend five seminars that correspond to each book. Chris Kostelc, who will lead these discussions, will send a “reading plan” for those who want to attend the seminars. The seminars will correspond to the part of the book read up until that point.
- Nov. 7 & Dec. 5 (6:15-7:30pm) –Made for More
- Jan. 23, Feb. 20, Mar. 20 (6:15-7:30pm) – Who Am I to Judge?
How: Registration opens Sept.9. Register online or fill out the form below and return it to the Parish Office
