This committee represents the community in the planning and evaluating of its liturgies. Its goal is to insure that the changing needs of the parish are reflected in its liturgical life.
Holy Name of Jesus Liturgical Philosophy
Our goal at Holy Name of Jesus is to carry out the direction of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy of Vatican II which states that "all the faithful should be led to that full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations." The primary liturgical celebration is the Sunday Eucharist liturgy (the Mass), where we, as a faith community, come together to worship our Lord. We encourage and provide the means for every person in the assembly to participate through recited and sung prayer, silence and posture.
