Save the date for Feb. 6-8, 2026. 

HNOJ's tenth Winter Weekend will be held in February 2026! We will have music, games, VBS-style sessions for the kids, talks and small groups for the adults, Mass, dinner, and Eucharistic Adoration. Families with kids of all ages are welcome to attend. We encourage teenagers to sign up to help out with the younger kiddos, but any confirmed teen may join the adult sessions as well.

Question: What age children typically attend the weekend?

Answer: Any age! In the past, we have everything from newborns up to seniors in high school.  We make sure to mix in activities, roles, and material suitable for all ages.  There are large chunks of free time where families can choose age-appropriate activities and ways to spend their time outside of retreat programming. 

Question: What is the lodging like? Are there different options?

Answer: BugBee Hive Resort offers multiple great options for lodging, everything from small cottages to cabins with a kitchen. For pictures and layouts visit BugBee Hive's website. In the past, many families have rented cabins together and shared the space. It's a fun way spend the weekend. 

Question: How does lodging work? 

Answer: Lodging is a first come first serve basis. Please select your accomodation request in the registration form. 

Questions: How do meals work?

Answer: Families will be responsible for their own meals over the weekend. All are invited to a potluck community dinner on Saturday night, as well as light snacks throughout the day. Many families choose to pack their own food for breakfast and lunch to enjoy in their rooms. Most cabins have a full kitchens.

Question: How much free time vs. programming is there?

Answer: We typically gather as a large group for the morning and part of the evening with a large gap of free time in the afternoons. 

Question: If we have to come late or leave early, can we still come?

Answer: The short answer is yes!  However, we highly encourage families to make arrangements to be able to attend the whole weekend.  We don’t want you to miss out on any of the experience.
